College 2.0 in Singapore–Two Perspective’s on the Technology Challenge in Class Reply

Sept 6 Asia Report.mp3

Last week Jeff Young of the Chronicle of Higher Ed visited Singapore as part of a month-long trip across Asia looking at technology in education.  Today Jeff posted his latest column for the Chronicle (here) and I am also attaching this week's Asia report tot he FIR podcast where I offer a quick overview of the conversation.

So what seems to be the main question?  Simple, how do we take advantage of these new technologies and improve both skills and knowledge when, from a competing perspective, we must create an experience that is culturally appropriate and offers a safe space to learn?

This is a tough line to walk, and I hope you enjoy what Jeff and others have to share.  I also hope we can upload the panel discussion video in the near future as well.
